Original Art: The Who's Life House cover

This huge, one-of-a-kind piece of original artwork was used as the cover of The Who's Life House Graphic Novel. I drew it as a piece of key art to promote the announcement of the project, and the piece was then repurposed as the cover for the graphic novel when it released a few years later. The drawing depicts the citizens of the UK as they hibernate in "Grid Sleep" in an early version of the experience suit. In the distance we see the central grid relay station, under which the genius musician Bobby has secretly set up his experimental musical happening known as "the Lifehouse."

This, then, is to my knowledge the first piece of official art depicting both the experience suits and the Life House itself, a concept that Pete Townshend has teased us with since 1971. I feel like people overuse the term "a genuine piece of Rock & Roll History", so I won't use it here. I'm not going to stop someone else from using it, though.
